Doug Zolbert

While Doug Zolbert no longer produces glass art for mainstream consumption, his work has laid the foundation for the encalmo technique. His extremely clean line work is easily recognizable and highly collectible.

I Graduated in December 2011 from West Texas A&M with my Bachelor's degree in studio arts with an emphasis in glass. I started out in the hot shop turning soft glass...then slowly migrated to kiln formed glass and finally found the torch where I now call home base :)

Post graduation I started working at SiNaCa Studios - a non-profit glass school in Fort Worth. This was also the place where with meeting the right people I was introduced to flame worked glass.

Over the last five years I have been traveling to shows, creating dotstack pendants as well as collaborations with talented artists.

Working with glass has transformed me for the better, and I hope to share pieces of my journey with you all. :)
