About The Artist: 

Nish Glass is a pipemaker from London, Ontario and is widely recognized for his signature bottle rigs and amazing collaborations with fellow Canadian artists and international brand ROOR Germany. Nish was introduced to flameworking in around 1999 by a local glassblower but didn’t start using a torch until 2003 during his travels in British Columbia. In BC, Nish would work as a barback at a resort in Whistler, while learning to blow glass in a shared studio with Korey Cotnam in Vancouver. Nish had known Cotnam through his older brother and heard that he had attended Sheridan College’s glassblowing program. At the time, Sheridan’s program was mostly focused on soft glass so Korey and Nish would work together developing their flameworking skills, with Korey being able to provide a theory and reason behind glass as a material.
